Dr. Sparano is proud to offer the LumenisOne Universal IPL – one of the most powerful pulsed light systems made. With this system Dr. Sparano can perform PhotoRejuvenation of the face, neck, chest, back, arms, or hands. The system is most commonly used on the face, chest, and hands. PhotoRejuvenation involves treatment of photo-damaged skin, age spots (sun-induced freckles), most benign brown pigmented areas, broken capillaries and red spots, melasma, vascular lesions (port wine stains, hemangiomas, etc.), and the redness of rosacea or scars without downtime. Unlike most systems, the power delivered by the LumenisOne Universal IPL allows for effective treatments with noticeable results. This can occur without damage to neighboring skin, and with a generalized need for fewer overall treatments.

Dr. Sparano is a regional instructor for Lumenis and has developed protocols that can be tailored to fit each patient’s PhotoRejuvenation needs. IPL PhotoRejuvenation is performed in Dr. Sparano’s procedure room. Our system has continuous SapphireCool sapphire contact cooling for enhanced patient comfort. A full face or chest can be treated in 15 minutes or less.  Patients will typically notice benefits after a single treatment. To minimize the risk to the surrounding skin, several treatments are generally necessary to achieve maximal results. Patients can expect a more refreshed appearance to the skin with more homogeneous and smoother appearing skin without the abundance of pigmented lesions.
